Warranty Policy

We stand behind every piece of gear we make. All Reyr Gear products are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If something fails because of us, we’ll repair or replace it.

What’s covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Damage that is not caused by normal wear and tear
  • Failures that occur under proper, intended use

Depending on the issue, we may replace the entire product or just the affected part/section. If your exact model is no longer available, we’ll provide the closest comparable product.

What’s not covered

  • Normal wear and tear (scuffs, scratches, fading, cork patina, sole wear, neoprene compression, etc.)
  • Improper use or care (high sticking, car doors, ceiling fans, dog chews, saltwater corrosion from not rinsing, chemical/heat damage)
  • Modifications or non-factory repairs
  • Cosmetic damage or parts lost in use
  • Loss or theft
  • Items returned dirty — please clean off dirt and debris before sending gear in

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Start a claim through your Customer Portal. Once logged in, select “Start a Warranty Claim” and follow the prompts. If you purchased from somewhere other than reyrgear.com, you may need to register your product first.
  2. Provide details — include your order number, product information, and clear photos or a short video of the issue.
  3. Pack it clean and dry — we can’t evaluate muddy or wet gear.
  4. Ship it to us — We'll send you a return shipping label to send it back to us. If we confirm a defect, we’ll handle the repair or replacement and cover return shipping back to you.
  5. Resolution — if it’s covered, we’ll repair or replace. If it’s not warranty-eligible, we’ll offer fair repair or replacement options at a service fee.

Return Deductions and Fees

If you return gear without all the components it originally shipped with, a flat $10 deduction will be applied for each missing item.

Exceptions to the flat fee:

  • Missing Reel: $45
  • Missing Rod Section: $15
  • Missing Line: $30
  • Missing Neoprene Sleeve: $10
  • Missing Fly Box (included with every rod): $10

If you forgot to include something in your return, you’ll need to either accept the deduction or ship the missing item(s) back at your own expense. Please package the items securely and include a note with your name, order number, and reason for return so our team knows how to process it.

Condition of Returned Items

All returned products must be free of dirt, debris, and excessive wear. If your rod, reel, or accessories are returned in damaged condition (outside of a manufacturing defect), your return will be voided and your product(s) will be sent back to you.

Processing Timeline

We aim to process all returns within 15 days of receipt at our warehouse. If 15 days pass from the time we receive your return (as confirmed by your tracking number), you will automatically be refunded the full amount (less any applicable return shipping fees) and your return will be closed.
