Mens Based Size (reference EU size for best fit)

Lightweight and packable, these felt-soled wading booties are built for anglers who leave the waders at home but still want traction, protection, and comfort on the water. Designed to outperform both sandals and rubber-soled shoes, they grip like velcro on slick riverbeds and provide toe protection so you can move confidently through rocks and current.

Tested in the Pacific Northwest and remote rivers of Europe, these booties are lighter and smaller than traditional wading boots, reducing drag in the water and making it easier to reach your fishing spot. Each pair comes with a stuff sack so you can hike in wearing your preferred shoes, then swap into the booties at the river and pack them away for the trip home.

Sizing has been updated for 2024—please review the sizing chart carefully. These are sized to be worn without socks; if you’re between sizes, we recommend ordering the larger option. A care card is included with every pair to remind you to clean and dry your booties between waters to help prevent the spread of invasive species.

Customer photo review of River Runner - Wading Booties

The felt bottom works as it should, but this show is not for a wide foot. I usually would wear a 6 in men’s, but had to size up to an 8 just to get the length of my foot to fit. I heard good things so I just went for it and used them for several days in the river. Since they are narrow, I don’t really want to wear them longer than an hour. If they made these designed for wide feet, it would be a game changer for me. The materials are nice and they do clean up well after use.

My son recommended these. They’re great. Great design. You can confidently walk slippery rock bottoms. Lightweight and comfortable.

River Runner - Wading Booties

I got these shoes to kayak so I would not slip on slimy rocks. They work very well and ate easy to walk in.

Just what my fishing partner and I were looking for. Will post when we get in the water.

River Runner - Wading Booties

Haven’t gotten a chance to put them into action yet, but heading up to the mountains of North Carolina to do some trout fishing the end of August, so I’m looking forward to using them. The fit is good and they seem comfortable. Love the felt soles because it’s hard to find wet wading shoes with felt soles. Thank you for this product.

River Runner - Wading Booties

They are still hard to get on even going up to a size 13 and that’s not even with waders on will be pulling out the waders and hopefully they will go on.

These are great, my third pair. This time I sized up, which I recommend.

River Runner - Wading Booties

I’ve come to wear these boots daily as I take my labrador for a swim in the local stream each day. This pair did not hold up as well as the last pair, but they’re still good boots.

Simple and stylish - These might be my favourite Reyr product. In the summer when waders aren't needed, I use and abuse these. They've always held up and are so much lighter than wearing even the lightest wading boots. Just slip them on and you're ready to wade! Note: Size up if you like to wear a wading sock underneath like I do. I love how quickly they dry out and how easy they are to get on. My friends who don't even fish have given me tons of compliments on these. First time wearing felt boots and I am hooked! I've also been told these would work really well for wading salt flats.

Grip grip grip - Fantastic traction, good fit, well made, would give 4.5 stars. I would like a slightly stiffer sole to limit foot fatigue, a loop to help pull on and maybe a rubber rand to add a bit of protection to sides of foot. Having said that for the price and grip they are great!

Great service and brand! - Fast shipping great service , these booties work great together with my backcountry skinz

River Runner - Wading Booties

River Runners - I love these boots. I take my labrador to the local river daily in the hot weather and these are so much more comfortable to wear than my heavy wading boots. I just bought my third pair and the only complaint I have is that I wish they were a little more durable. I have developed holes and torn seams in the neoprene tops. Doesn’t really affect the purpose of the boots, but it does let in a little gravel. Advise going up a size., They seem to run a little small to me.

Game changer! - Game changer! Wanted to let you know how thrilled I am with these booties. I have a tendency to be hard on my equipment to see what they can endure. From Friday 7am to Sunday 2pm was a fishing marathon on the Tuolumne. Rugged country if you have never been down there. Because of topography I will sometimes hike up to a mile and a half and then wade back upstream for that same distance. My first go around I hiked in my shoes then carried the shoes in my day pack. After that I just hiked in my booties. I probably put about 7 miles (wet and dry) on these things and aside from one incident scrambling up a hill on sharp shale where I had a rock collapse on my foot and caused a slight tear on the side toe box. I ordered a neoprene repair kit and they are now back in great condition. I added soles inserts for comfort and that worked great. For years I have tried various sandals/river shoes and always go back to wearing my Wading boots while wet wading but these booties change everything!. These are great. Comfortable and they have incredible traction. Keeps your feet warm as well. Can't wait till the new version are back in stock. Highly recommend these! Very pleased! BTW, the fishing was awesome!

River Runner - Wading Booties

Light, portable with very good traction - Very good for summer fishing if you want to be light! I'm wearing them every time i'm going for European Chub summer fishing! Usually i was going with my trecking sandals but the traction was very bad.... Now the problem solved :-)

River Runner - Wading Booties

Gamechanger for moving over slippery rocks in the water . The neoprene uppers don’t survive pokes and cuts too well where they are not protected, but even with that the soles march on. Definitely worth the price of admission.
